Project Title: East Okement Farm – Machinery Shed

Concept Building Services (Southern) Ltd was appointed by Landmarc Support Services to deliver the dismantling and replacement of a machinery shed at East Okement Farm, Okehampton. Whilst not the largest project, it was a highly effective and valuable scheme, providing a modern, durable facility to support the client’s ongoing agricultural and operational requirements.
The works began with the careful dismantling of the existing structure, ensuring all waste materials were efficiently removed and disposed of in line with environmental standards. Once the site was cleared, our team constructed a brand-new steel-framed machinery shed, designed to withstand long-term use while complementing the surrounding environment. The structure was completed with low-level concrete panels and cladding above, while the roof was finished with metal corrugated sheets and roof lights to maximise natural daylight within the space.
Internally, a high-quality brushed concrete floor was installed to provide a durable and low-maintenance surface suitable for heavy machinery. Electrical works included the installation of twin LED batten light fittings, conveniently positioned light switches, and double sockets at both ends to enhance usability and accessibility.
The project was delivered within a tight four-week programme, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency. Through strong collaboration and expert project management, Concept Building Services successfully handed over a practical and resilient facility, meeting the client’s exact requirements.
